Selling Online: What Clicks People Off?

A recent study by eCommera was published by Warc recently and highlighted some interesting statistics which anyone involved in ecommerce should know.

42% of people interviewed by eCommera said that poor website design or a lack of information would discourage them from purchasing from a site; while an additional 32% said a complicated website interface would put them off. Therefore if you consider your website design carefully and make certain that it is structured thoughtfully with an easy to use navigation system your site will appeal to 74% of people without even trying.

Price also appeared as a consideration to many of the individuals studied with 63% researching the product on the internet before purchase. Whether you sell online or offline, competitor research is still invaluable in the marketplace to make sure that you have the right offer.

It's also worth noting that a massive 81% of survey participants had maintained or boosted their online spending in the last year. Ecommerce is an area which you can't afford to ignore, people are still buying online despite the situation on the high street - and we don't want your business to miss out.

You shouldn't be scared of taking the plunge with ecommerce - if you do your groundwork it will pay dividends for your business in the future.
