The World's first Voice-Dictated CMS

Disclaimer: I have no way of knowing if that claim is true or not. It makes a nice headline, though. Eye-catching.

Anyway, I had a spare half-hour this afternoon and, lamenting CKEditor's patchy mobile support, decided to reprogram our CMS to accept voice as an input. It seemed quite fitting, given the tradition of tech companies using April Fool's Day to showcase sophisticated but not-entirely-useful features & systems.

Browser support isn't fantastic: at the time of writing only Chrome and Opera support it and that's only using a "webkit" prefix. I'm using my phone but according to Caniuse the desktop version also supports it. Obviously you'll need a microphone for that, though I suppose you could just plug some headphones into a microphone slot and use those instead.
