Smart Bike

Here in the office there was discussion over the new Apple patent which has been filed for a smart bike.

With one very keen macolyte MTB boy and a cycling widow in the office we are very interested in how this develops. Apple already have the nike + ipod deal and its very interesting to see them moving to cycling which has seen a huge resurgence over the last 5 years.

This device could communicate with other cyclists (very handy when out in a group) sharing information ranging from speed to derailleur setting! The resident cycling widow is hoping that it comes with GPS so she can track her fella when his ‘short run’ turns into a 70 miler.
